Yearbook / Intro. to Print Publishing |
Through the process of developing, producing, financing and marketing of the Mount Anthony Patriot Ledger Yearbook, students become aware of the process of print publication and the roles that must be fulfilled to successfully produce books. Students assume responsibility for planning and scheduling. They develop abilities in gathering information, writing copy and captions, understanding components of quality photography, copy editing skills in the use of Adobe InDesign. Students are required to participate in an advertising sales campaign. Emphasis is placed on developing skills in layout, design and graphics. Concurrent to the development of the yearbook students will be provided with information on how these roles are fulfilled by different professionals within the publishing industry. Students may also choose to participate in the after school yearbook club.
