Technical English 2

This second-year course focuses on applying communication skills toward succeeding in employment and continuing education. Students will evaluate and analyze their work habits, research time management tools and employee evaluation systems. Students will prepare technical reports, study patterns of organization, learn to summarize technical materials, and apply strategies for using technical terminology effectively. Students will also complete a major research project. This course is designed to provide students with the communication skills needed for continuing education and career advancement.

For students in grade:12
Scheduling:One semester, 90 minutes per day or equivalent
Credits:One credit in English
Co-requisite:Grade of 70 or better in Technical English 1 and instructor approval
College Preparation:NCAA pre-approved for college bound students

Career Development Center - Course Catalog

Adults are welcome to apply for daytime technical programs. A Vermont resident adult without a high school diploma is a secondary student and is eligible for tuition to be paid by their school district. Adults with high school diplomas will be charged a tuition. Financial aid may be available. Contact the Adult Education Office at 447-3596.
