Information Technology
Creative Computing |
The IT field is about designing, creating and maintaining the technological tools and systems that enable others to use computers effectively within various fields of endeavor. Expertise within the IT fields of hardware, software, applications, programming and networking is in high demand. During this introductory program, students will explore the various career opportunities available in the information technology field, such as: user support, networking and computer maintenance. Emphasis is placed on the need for creative skills including computer graphics, animation and music. Students will learn problem solving, teamwork and communication skills that are very valuable when providing user support.
Students that complete Creative Computing will be given priority placement in the Artificial Intelligence, Computer Technology; and Networking Academy programs.
