CDC Programs
Dear Student:
With business and industry’s demands for increased technical skills, students and parents are encouraged to consider how they plan to prepare for their future careers.
The Southwest VT Career Development Center is ready to help you plan and to prepare you for a rewarding career, whether immediately after school or after additional post secondary training.
Please look through the various career clusters to find a career cluster you are interested in and see which program you should include in your educational plan. Talk to your counselor and/or the CDC guidance coordinator about enrolling in a CDC program or short block introductory class in preparation for a program.
As you look through the programs, you will see that a two-year program offers you 3 credits for the first year and another 3 credits for the second year. Most of the programs also have embedded academic credits which means while you are learning about a career skill, you are also earning an English, math, science or social studies credit that will show up on your transcript, too.
