Just in Time Training
If you need training to fit your schedule, call us to discuss the possibility of arranging Just in Time Training on a tutorial one-to-one or small group basis. Eligible Vermont residents and Vermont manufacturing companies may receive grants for tuition.

Registration Information For Classroom-based programs: Please mail the registration application form with full payment or a $50 deposit, or register in person for CDC Adult Education & Learning Institute training at least two weeks before a course starts. You are responsible for payment in full before a course starts. A non-refundable registration fee deposit of $50 (included in listed cost) is required per course. Organization/company vouchers or financial aid award letters may be used to register. A minimum number of students is required to run a course and will be determined by paid registrations. Unless you are notified to the contrary, consider yourself accepted into your course(s) and report to the class on the first night scheduled. For Online Instructor-facilitated courses (www.ed2go.com/svcdc): Call us at 802-447-3596 to verify payment ($89 to $149 for most courses), and complete the online Orientation prior to course start date. Tuition Assistance: 10% Discount for seniors over 60; VSAC Non-degree Grant, DET, Vocational Rehabilitation, Workers Compensation, Reach Up, employers; grants based on eligibility, must have financial aid documentation to register. It is important to apply early, as grant funds may not be available after the beginning of the semester. Refund Policy: Full refund if course cancelled, or if you withdraw two weeks before a course begins. 100% less $50 registration fee before 1st class, 90% less $50 and book fees for withdrawing before 2nd class, 50% less $50 and book fees before 3rd class, 0% after 3rd class. Credit: High school credit may be granted for courses that meet criteria for number of hours and skill competencies. Educators and other professionals may submit courses for recertification credit. Colleges may award advanced standing/life experience credit. The Southwest Vermont Career Development Center is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. Onsite Solutions Training: Available for companies and organizations -- call 447-3596 to discuss training to fit your needs, improve performance. Vermont Training Program: Grants for 50% of training cost available for manufacturers. Tutoring: Available, call 447-3596 for information. Programs with Partners: Bridge to Careers offers free Adult Literacy classes at the Tutorial Center for GED, Adult Diploma, and reading and math skills help, plus enrollment in CDC daytime or evening technical skill training programs.
